For the Junior player just starting out, or looking to develop their game, the Mizuno Break Shot 5 Clay is a lightweight and comfortable option. Mizuno strategically reduced the weight of this 5th version by about 15 grams compared to the previous model, for a speedier feel. These shoes have a combination of mesh and synthetic leather on the uppers for comfortable breathability, and the fit is more relaxed than before to accommodate a variety of foot types. The highly flexible sole design is user-friendly for the junior player who is developing their skills, and the flat sole not only enhances the court feel but ensured better traction with more surface contact. The durable rubber is formed into a full herringbone tread design for the proper grip on clay courts.
