Nike Claybreaker
Nike has focused on clay court shoes, and developed a new outsole called "Claybreaker". With the help of both consumers across Europe and their own athletes, Nike has adapted critical areas on the outsole to improve the classic herringbone pattern. This outsole is now featured on all the Nike Vapor models.
Three different zones can be identified on the Claybreaker outsole, to offer you the best combination of grip and traction, to help you move and slide with confidence.
- Denser traction pattern on the internal forefoot and external heel to maximize grip to enable easier start, stop and change of directions.
- Wider traction pattern on the external forefoot and internal heel to enable slide with control.
- Denser pattern in the midfoot area for the perfect combination of traction and grip.
